Wide Open Spaces is a celebration of space and marks the start of a new chapter in my life and my artwork. Over the last two year, my husband and I sold our house, moved into a small 900 sq. ft apartment with our two adult daughters and searched for a property on the Western Slope. In response to the shrinking of my domestic space and studio, I turned to the sky for inspiration. Sunrises and Sunsets, clouds and precipitation offered an opportunity to explore color and light while I dreamed of our new home and life beyond the boundaries of Denver.  In September of 2023, we purchased a small farm on a little over two acres in Palisade, Colorado and my exploration of wide open spaces continues and now on a much larger scale.
